Dons target Cup of tonic for chief exec

Tony Miller wants the Dons to reach the Northern Rail Cup final to provide a tonic for ill chief executive Carl Hall, writes Danny Hall.

The Dons welcome Sheffield Eagles to the Doncaster Athletics Stadium tomorrow in a semi-final clash.

And Miller hopes his side will provide a timely boost to Hall’s spirits.

“Carl is undergoing some tests at the minute, and it’s not clear exactly what the problem is,” Miller said.

“We want to win the semi-final regardless, of course, but it would be a fitting tribute to Carl if we could do it.”

Match day tickets for the semi-final (7.30pm) are now on sale at the Keepmoat Stadium’s ticket office.

Tickets will remain on sale until 5.30pm tomorrow before becoming available at the West Stand main reception.

Ticket prices are as follows: £12 for adults, £8 for concessions, £3 for children (under 16’s). Under 5’s go free.

Gates will open at 6:30pm.
