Former fans’ favourite Scott Spaven will return to Doncaster RLFC for the 2014 season.
The 23-year-old scrum half, who played alongside new player coach Paul Cooke at Hull KR, finished as the Dons’ top points scorer (207) in 2011.
He left Doncaster for Dewsbury Rams but finished last season at West Hull, where he moved for family reasons.
Spaven said: “Coming back to Doncaster was quite an easy decision to make and Cookie was certainly an influence in my return.
“I feel I can learn a lot from him as he’s a smart bloke. I also feel the club is making great progress and is heading in the right direction.”
Cooke said: “Scott’s another excellent signing and brings a wealth of experience with him.
“He keeps himself in great physical condition, has a very good attitude towards the game and has a desire to succeed.”
