CARL Hughes faces a late fitness test ahead of this weekend’s Northern Rail Cup date with London Skolars.
Hughes sprained his ankle a fortnight ago and missed last week’s 54-10 defeat at Featherstone Rovers.
But the 28-year-old hopes to return to fitness in time for Sunday’s Keepmoat Stadium clash (3pm).
Kyle Kesik will be involved despite being sent-off for fighting at Featherstone but Kyle Sampson is out with a broken nose.
Skolars, coached by former Doncaster player Joe Mbu, have no major injury concerns.
Mbu said: “Doncaster will be tough opponents and they’ll provide a great test for us.
“For me, this game will show where we are at the moment. It will give me a bit more information on my squad.”
