THE Dons are making a song and dance about their superb start to the season, writes Paul Goodwin.
Doncaster’s players and officials could be heard singing at the top of their voices in the Keepmoat Stadium dressing room on Sunday.
They were celebrating a sensational 26-16 win over Workington Town - a fifth straight victory in all competitions - which put them level on points with early Championship One leaders Swinton Lions.
The outpouring of joy marked a huge turnaround in the Dons’ fortunes - little more than a year after the club almost went out of business.
Coach Tony Miller, whose side host Rochdale on Sunday (3pm) said: “The spirit among the players has never been better than it is now.
“We came up with a victory song during pre-season and it’s already had a few airings - hopefully we’ll be hearing it a few more times before this season’s out!”
