Dons hope fans flock to derby

DONCASTER RLFC hope to be roared on by their first 1,000-plus crowd of the season in tomorrow’s derby with York City Knights.

Dons chief executive Carl Hall this week revealed his frustration at the club’s dwindling attendances following the club’s promotion to the Championship.

Season pass holders can buy additional tickets for £5 for the visit of York to the Keepmoat Stadium.

“We’re making a concerted effort to develop the fan base at the club,” said Hall.

“We’ve been disappointed with our home attendances so far in 2013.”

On the pitch, Dons hope to end a run of four straight defeats.
