DONCASTER Rugby League Club’s head coach Tony Miller is requesting fans, old and new, to attend an extraordinary general meeting at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday, December 13.
A Dons’ spokesman said: “The club has an opportunity to sign a proven and experienced Super League player but they can’t do it without the (financial) help of the supporters.
“This is the first time that Tony Miller has called such a meeting which highlights the important nature of the matter, details of which will be revealed on the night.”
Miller said: “We all know that the forthcoming season is arguably the most important of the club’s history and we’ve made it no secret that we’re targeting a return to the Championship.
“If we’re to achieve our objectives we need to sign the best players that become available to us.
“An opportunity has arisen for the club to sign a player of undoubted class and it is simply an opportunity that the club cannot afford to miss out on.
“I would encourage supporters’ family and friends to attend the meeting and spread the word around town.”
Along with Miller, members of the club’s Advisory Group will also be in attendance and supporters will be given the chance to question the group ahead of the new season.
The meeting will be held at the Lakeside Suite (Kiwi Café) at the Keepmoat Stadium and will start at 7pm. The bar will be open for refreshments.
