Dons star Dave Scott has been named in Scotland’s initial 27-man squad for the European Championships.
The winger, who recently signed a new one-year deal at the Keepmoat Stadium, helped Scotland reach the quarter-finals of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
“I’m delighted with this Scotland squad,” said head coach Steve McCormack.
“As always, we’ve been able to name an outstanding group of senior players, along with a number of exciting youngsters who are now involved in the Scotland rugby league pathway.
“This year’s European Championships will be another tough competition and we’re really looking forward to getting the squad together.
“It’s important to build on last year’s fantastic World Cup and look to improve all aspects of performance, both on and off the field.”
Scotland face Wales (October 17), Ireland (October 25) and France (October 31). The prize for the winners is a place alongside England, Australia and New Zealand in the 2016 Four Nations Series.
