Rampant Bullcroft hit nine past Corner Pin

BULLCROFT Sports & Pastimes beat both the wet weather and Corner Pin (9-0) to claim maximum points in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Premier Division.

Rhino’s climbed above Eden Grove after charging to a 6-3 win over the Hexthorpe side. There was also a win for third-placed Tumbler (7-5) in another high-scoring game at Hatfield Celtic.

High-flying Championship side Finningley Athletic were grounded by lowly Edlington Top Club, who ran out 5-2 winners.

Hawthorn dropped a place to third lafter they lost 3-1 at home to Stainforth. Toll Bar climbed into second spot after posting a 6-2 win over lowly Brodsworth United.

Mid-table Wheatley Hotel dished out a 4-1 beating to second bottom Carpenters Arms. Mid-table Leger Lions roared their way to a 12-0 Division One win over bottom club Wadworth Sports, who have now lost all 12 games.

Askern Railway, now up to fourth, finished on the right track after beating Skellow Rangers, who were fourth, 4-2. Second-placed Three Horseshoes United, shared six goals with visiting Auckley. Armthorpe Village bagged a 4-2 Division Two win over visiting Cumberland.

Rossington Legion climbed several places after winning 4-1 away at Carcroft Village. Hatfield Town and third-placed Campsall shared the spoils from a 1-1 draw. White Hart Colts beat Three Horseshoes Old Boys by the odd goal in seven.
