Nottingham Forest 4 Doncaster Rovers 1
ROVERS suffered their heaviest defeat of the season as they were cut down to size by a rampant Nottingham Forest.
Sean O'Driscoll's men were a pale shadow of the side that outplayed Queens Park Rangers a week earlier and were made to pay for some uncharacteristically sloppy play.
The hosts went ahead in the 17th minute when Paul Anderson flashed a drive across the face of goal and it deflected in off the unfortunate Gareth Roberts.
Billy Sharp almost levelled when he flicked Dean Shiels' centre wide but Forest seized the initiative in ruthless fashion after the break.
Wes Morgan doubled the home side's advantage with a towering header from a Radoslaw Majewski corner before Shiels drove a shot just past the post as Doncaster laboured in their attempts to get back into the game.
Rovers were out of sight midway through the second period, however, when Rob Earnshaw was given time and space to rifle home a third from inside the area.
And things got even worse as substitute Lewis McGugan arrowed in a stunning effort with ten minutes left on the clock.
Moments later Sharp headed in a Martin Woods corner but it was little consolation as Rovers were left still searching for their first Championship away win of the season.
