Nottingham Forest 0 Doncaster Rovers 0
NOTHING could separate the sides as Rovers picked up a valuable away point at in-form Forest.
The hosts dominated much of the match but Rovers midfielder Mark Wilson came inches away from snatching all three points when his 78th minute strike rattled the Forest bar.
A largely uneventful first half saw neither keeper fully stretched, although the already offside James Hayter did put the ball in the back of the net with a sweet volley.
Forest upped the tempo after the interval but only had tame shots from Junior Agogo and Kris Commons to show for their efforts.
Rovers' best spell came midway through the half when Ritchie Wellens' low shot was gathered by home keeper Paul Smith before Hayter was just beaten to Lewis Guy's cross by defender Luke Chambers.
Seconds after Wilson struck the bar Rovers keeper Neil Sullivan showed fine reactions to tip over Grant Holt's header and, from the resulting corner, Chambers failed to bundle the ball home from just two yards out.
Substitute Holt had another excellent opportunity to break the deadlock two minutes from time but was unable to cleanly meet Commons' free kick as Rovers held out for a richly deserved draw .
