BOXER Jason Cunningham did not hang around after an injury hit 10 months out of the ring – he returned to win the Senior Elite ABA championship!

The Woodlands fighter only returned to competitive action following a hand injury in the annual tournament’s quarter finals at the beginning of April.

And less than six weeks later he joined illustrious names such as Sir Henry Cooper, Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe as a Senior ABA champion.

Cunningham picked up a comfortable 26-13 points win over England international Charlie Hoy in the final of the 51kg class.
