Schoolchildren have been racing to the sports hall after netting the chance to work with elite wheelchair basketball stars.
Sheffield Steelers Wheelchair Basketball aces Paul McLean-Bentley and Steve Ryan have been holding weekly training sessions for pupils at The Armthorpe School to help them learn how to play the sport.
The year eight contingent have been learning how to pass, dribble and shoot as part of the expert training.
The mentorship has also led to 12-year-old pupil Joel Pritchard, a wheelchair user, expressing an interest in taking up the sport more regularly following his rapid progress and love for the game of wheelchair basketball.
Set-up through Armthorpe PE teacher Andy Petrie, the sessions have proved very successful at the Mere Lane-based school.
