GOLFER Darryl Pidd made it a hat trick of honours in the recent PD Ludbrook Memorial Trophy.
The Isle of Axholme Golf Society held the competition at their recent monthly outing at the Bawtry (Austerfield) course, played under stableford rules in both team and single formats.
Pidd’s 43 points was enough for him to claim the trophy with Ian Snell second on 34 points and third place, after a count back, went to Mark Clayton who recorded 33.
Nearest the pin competition on hole eight was won by Pidd with Winston Perrin repeating the feat on hole 11.
The longest drive on hole seven was won by Steve Green who also won with Pidd and Robert Andrew in the team event, an average score of 34.66 points securing the three victory.
The next society meeting will be at the Lincolnshire Golf Club on Thursday, December 29, at 10am.
All members and guests are welcome with coffee and bacon rolls served beforehand and soup and sandwiches afterwards.
Non-society members are welcome by arrangement with captain/secretary Tom Sanders and annual membership costs £20, which covers all of 2012. Contact him on 01724 712089.
