Joshua Thompson handed out a lesson of different kind to win the Manchester Open in style.

Thompson (pictured right), 21, is the UK’s youngest performance (level 4) tennis coach, based at John Charles Centre in Leeds.

He recently put those skills to good use at the City of Manchester Tennis Centre, beating Jay Hardy 6-2 6-0 in a one-sided men’s open final.

The former Yorkshire junior player, from Marr, will be heading to Oxford University at the end of June for three month’s coaching.
