Hill House School opened their new hockey pitch in style - with a visit from Olympic gold medallist Imran Sherwani, who scored twice for Great Britain in the 1988 final.

The Paver Hockey Pitch has been named in recognition of the outstanding service given by current chair of governors, Elizabeth Paver (pictured above with Sherwani).

Master in Charge of Hockey, Peter Shipston, said: “To have the pitch opened by a legend of world hockey was a great inspiration to pupils and staff alike.

“The fact that Imran then played two full matches for the staff against the children was something we will all remember for years – and he is still a remarkable player!”
