Club founder Adam Lloyd took a hard fought bronze in the -85kg class and silver in the team event at the International Open after being concussed in his second fight of the day and splitting his eye open.

Matt Shaw made some massive throws on his way to a silver in the -85kg class, beating world number three Olle Overbosch of Holland on the way.

Armthorpe’s Adam Jones also took bronze in his first ever competition at international standard.

Doncaster’s team also enjoyed huge success in the novice competition at Derby by claiming gold, silver and bronze in the men’s -70kg and -85kg divisions.

Adam Jones won gold, Stu Carr silver and Phil Raper bronze in the -70kg category, with Jones also winning the under 21 age group.

Matt Shaw, Kev Crampton, Brody Jewison, Alex Turner, Tom Southeran and Chris Crossan also won medals.
