Martial Arts: Marvellous May for Team ACMAC

Andy Crittenden’s Martial Arts Centre are celebrating a marvellous May, packed full of medals, awards and personal bests.

Sophie Hawkins, named Hope for the Future at the recent Doncaster Free Press Sports Awards, achieved a PB six golds and one silver at a recent tournament in Newcastle, where the club racked up no fewer than 40 medals.

Shea Hughes, Tiffiny Richardson and Craig Oxley all won double golds, while Tia Rowe, Lucy Shaw and Bethany Revill joined forces to win the Women’s Team Championship.

Team ACMAC’s Suneil Singh was picked to be part of the Warriors Kick Boxing Team to fight against the Tae Kwon Do Elite Great Britain Team at the annual Clash of the Titans event.

While Kev Miller was also inducted into the UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a ‘Top Fighter’ at a ceremony in Burton on Trent.

Miller has been competing since 1987 and last year became a world champion.
