Tae Kwon Do instructor Graham Churchill is this month celebrating 25 years as a martial arts instructor.

The 7th Dan black belt, a former world silver medallist, took up coaching shortly before he was forced to retire from competition due to injury in 1992.

“I began training in Tae Kwon Do in 1980 at the Doncaster school which I have now been running for the past 16 years,” said Churchill.

“The Doncaster class is also 40 years old this year.

“I began running Tae Kwon Do and martial arts classes with the help of the government’s enterprise scheme in 1989.”

Churchill was a member of the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain national squad for two years prior to his retirement.

He is now an international umpire and referee.
