SECOND half goals from Charlotte Tomlin and Rachel Smart maintained Doncaster’s winning start to the new Women’s Conference North season.
Liverpool Sefton were the visitors to Town Field on Saturday and held firm for more than an hour of a tight contest.
But Tomlin lashed home on 63 minutes and a Smart penalty corner just four minutes later gave Doncaster their second victory of the campaign.
Doncaster are yet to concede a goal in the league this season after beating Brooklands Poynton by the same 2-0 scoreline the previous weekend.
They will face a tougher test on Sunday, however, when they travel to Wakefield Bradford, who have also won their opening two games.
n Doncaster’s men, meanwhile, could not follow up their opening day win over Belper with victory at rivals Sheffield Hallam.
David Smith’s goal mid-way through the first half separated the teams at the break, before a brace of Mike Shaw penalty corners earned the hosts a 3-0 win.
Deeside Ramblers are the visitors to Town Field on Saturday (2pm).
