DONCASTER Hockey Club is gearing up for the biggest game in its 111-year history on Saturday when they face Premier Division big boys Beeston in the National Cup final.

Leigh Hodgson’s side created history in March when they beat top tier side Cannock 3-0 in the semi-finals to reach the final for the first time ever.

And the Doncaster men hope to be the toast of the town this weekend when they tackle Beeston, the country’s number one ranked club side, in the final game of the English outdoor season.

Read a full match preview and Hodgson’s thoughts on Doncaster’s build-up to the final - and their chances of winning - in tomorrow’s Free Press.
