Rachel Brooks is through to the quarter-finals of the ladies BDO Lakeside World Championships after beating fellow English thrower Casey Gallagher on Monday night.
Brooks, 51, claimed a 2-0 success in the last-16 match at the famous Surrey Country Club and progresses to the quarter-finals, which are due to be played over the course of today and tomorrow.
Brooks, from Wroot, who only took up darts aged 45, is now set to face Sharon Prins.
The Dutch player beat another English competitor Lorraine Winstanley in the last round and will be looking to get to the semi-finals for a second time, having previously made the last four in 2013.
Brooks lost in the first round of the competition last year.
She will be looking to emulate her 2013 season when she made the World Masters final.
