Doncaster biathlete Greta Highfield is having a season to remember and she has chance of yet more glory.
The nine-year-old, who competes at U11 level, recently qualified to represent Great Britain in the World Championships in Spain where she will compete in the individual, team and mixed relays.
She flew the flag for the country in the European Championships in Portugal earlier this year, finishing fourth in her age-group.
Already this year she has won both the Yorkshire Series, posting wins at Hull, Allerthorpe and Helmsley and the North West Series, winning at Fleetwoood, Carnforth and Sale.
Unbeaten in both competitions, Greta will represent Yorkshire in the Battle of the Roses event at Ormskirk.
Greta, who also won the inaugural North East event at the Hartlepool Marina, is currently holding down top spot in the Motoreasy GB Series with just two events to go.
The Biathle is a sub division of the Modern Pentathlon and involves running and swimming.
