ON THE LINE: Rovers and Knights set for critical weekend
Relegation-threatened Rovers must win at Crewe to maintain any realistic hope of avoiding a return to the fourth tier of English football for the first time in more than a decade.
A record-breaking Knights team then face Yorkshire Carnegie in the Championship play-off semi-finals bidding to reach the Aviva Premiership for the first time in the club’s history.

Hide AdDarren Ferguson’s men have taken seven points from a possible nine after failing to win in 16 consecutive league games to give themselves a glimmer of hope of survival.
But they travel to Crewe on Saturday with the odds still stacked against a great escape - and they could be mathematically relegated on Monday if they fail to collect three points against the Railwaymen.
A season of underachievement at the Keepmoat Stadium, however, is in stark contrast to the exploits of Knights who head into the promotion play-offs on the back of a second-placed finish in the Championship, the club’s best ever final league position.
