MATT Kilgallon is in line to make his Rovers debut against Reading.
The Sunderland defender trained with his new team-mates on Thursday and Friday after joining Doncaster on loan for the rest of the season.
And the 27-year-old is expected to go straight into the starting line-up for the Royals' visit to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.
Kilgallon, who turned down a host of Championship clubs to sign for Rovers, could partner Sam Hird or Adam Lockwood at the heart of the defence - or may line-up in a back three if Sean O'Driscoll keeps faith with the formation that worked so well against Wolves.
The former Sheffield United centre half has played just three times this term after a back injury cut short his season-long loan deal to Middlesbrough.
Rovers are still without injured quartet Shelton Martis, Brian Stock, Mustapha Dumbuya and Simon Gillett.
