Doncaster Rovers bowed out of the FA Youth Cup following a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough United.

Liam Ravenhill put Rovers’ U18s ahead from the penalty spot after 33 minutes.

Posh levelled with a penalty of their own from Charlie O’Connell with 20 minutes left to play.

The winning goal arrived on 86 minutes when Rovers goalkeeper Ben Bottomley parried a deflected shot into the path of Nicky Gyimah-Bio who converted from close range.

Peterborough will now face Sheffield United in the fourth round.
