Rovers fans can have say on new kit design

Doncaster Rovers fans are being given the chance to have their say on the look of the club’s next kit.

As part of a new agreement between the club and kit suppliers Just Sport, supporters will be able to contribute their ideas on what they’d like to see from Rovers’ official shirts next season.

Steve Ladd from Just Sport said: “Next season’s kit will be a bespoke kit, making the design unique for the fans.

“Supporter feedback is important to us and next season’s kit will be heavily influenced by various supporter groups who have been approached by the club for their views and ideas.”

The new agreement will see Just Sport manufacture the kit and manage the club shop at Doncaster Rovers for a further three years.

He added: “We are proud to continue our association with Doncaster Rovers, having grown a successful partnership over the past two and a half seasons.

Work is already under way to design and manufacture new kits for the 2013/14 season.

Mr Ladd added: “We understand the importance of the red and white hoops to the supporters and we want to manufacture a kit that the supporters are not only proud, but because they were part of the design process.

“Our goal is to manufacture a shirt by the fans for the fans and we are really excited by the project.”

Rovers’ marketing manager Shaun Lockwood said: “We are always keen to develop long-term relationships with companies who commit to going that extra mile for our fans.

“We will be inviting fans to be involved and this process will start within the next few weeks with a series of votes.”
