Dumbuya has work to do, says Dean Saunders

MUSTAPHA Dumbuya needs to improve the defensive side of his game in order to break into the first team fold at Doncaster, Dean Saunders has told the Free Press.
The 24-year-old returned to Rovers this week following a month’s loan at Saturday’s opponents Crystal Palace.
Dumbuya made three appearances for the Eagles - where was used at wing back - after being restricted to just one substitute appearance under Rovers’ new boss.
Saunders said: “I’ve had a chat with Muzzy and he has got to improve defensively.
“If he is going to play at right back then he has some work to do.
“It was good for him to go out and get a few games under his belt because he’s not had a lot of football.
“He’s been a bit unfortunate in a way because our right side is probably where we are strongest, with James O’Connor, Pascal Chimbonda and then James Coppinger further forward.
“But he also has lots of things which he needs to work on, and he needs to show me he wants to learn.
“I’ve told him I’ll work with him and teach him.
“The last two full backs I worked with at Wrexham are playing in the Premier League now - Neil Taylor and Curtis Obeng.”
Saunders added: “I won’t be tapping up Muzzy for information about Palace - I wouldn’t put one of my players in that position.
“We’ll analyse the opposition’s strengths and weaknesses in the same way we do every week.”
