Doncaster Rovers 1 Blackpool 3
BLACKPOOL'S extra quality made the difference as Doncaster Rovers lost on their return to action at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher's first half brace gave the promotion chasing Seasiders a firm grip on the game, firstly slotting home Neal Eardley's slide-rule pass before dancing his way through the Doncaster defence to make it 2-0.
El Hadji Diouf won and then scored a penalty just before the break to halve the deficit.
James Hayter missed a glorious close-range chance to equalise before the break when he volleyed over unmarked at the back post.
And Tangerines goalkeeper Matt Gilks made a miraculous save to keep out Martin Woods' right footed volley after the restart.
Rovers were giving as good as they got against Ian Holloway's high flyers, who remain unbeaten since the turn of the year and were as cavalier as ever in their approach.
But the visitors' third goal ended the game as a contest - defender Alex Baptiste was allowed space to burst into the box and when his powerful shot was parried by David Button, Novan Dicko was on hand to convert from close range.
