ROVERS haved signed powerhouse forward Jon Parkin on an emergency loan deal from Cardfiff City, pending international clearance.

The 29-year-old’s arrival will bolster Rovers’ goal-shy attack which has scored just one league goal since Billy Sharp was injured on the opening day of the season at Brighton.
