SEAN O’Driscoll has been handed a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Portsmouth.
Neil Sullivan (shin), Matt Kilgallon (hamstring), James Coppinger (ankle), Mark Wilson (hamstring) and Joseph Mills all returned to full training on Thursday and are in contention to start.
Sullivan has sat out the last two games after suffering a haematoma in his shin but is in line to replace Gary Woods in goal.
James O’Connor and Sam Hird impressed again as a centre half pairing at Millwall and O’Driscoll’s main dilemma is whether to recall on-loan Sunderland star Matt Kilgallon.
Wayne Thomas (calf) and Martin Woods (groin), meanwhile, are ahead of schedule in their respective attempts to return to full fitness.
Thomas took part in training today but is not in contention to face Pompey, while Woods is expected to be back in training early next week.
