Doncaster Rovers Belles might be having a tough time in FAWSL1 but their under-15s have just been crowned ESF Grand Finale champions.

Belles beat AFC Wimbledon, Forest Green, Penmill Ladies FC and Thorpe St Andrew School to lift the trophy at St George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent.

The ESF Festival of Football is one of UK’s biggest youth football festivals with 1,200 boys and girls teams participating every year.

Belles reached the finals by winning a qualifying event held at Butlins in Skegness.

Martyn Young, from ESF Events said: “To be crowned ESF Grand Finale champions really is a fantastic achievement, the players and coaches and supporters should be really proud

of themselves.

“Congratulations to everyone involved with Doncaster Belles, we look forward to welcoming the team back to defend their crown at ESF 2017.”
