Doncaster Belles midfielder Millie Bright has joined Chelsea Ladies.
The 21-year-old was shortlisted for the FAWSL2 Player of the Year award last season and recently earned a call-up to an England U23s training camp.
She made 24 appearances for the Belles last season as they narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight.
Bright said: “I wanted to be back in FAWSL1 and to be here with so many great role models and players is fantastic.”
Former Belles assistant and current Chelsea Ladies number two Paul Green said: “I’m sure she will prove to be a good addition to this talented group of players.”
Bright joined Belles from Sheffield United Academy in 2009.
Former Lincoln Ladies boss Glen Harris was confirmed as Doncaster’s new manager this week - replacing Gordon Staniforth who resigned in October citing an “impossible” budget - and he could face a difficult task holding onto another star player.
Bright’s former Belles teammate and close friend Jess Sigsworth is also thought to be attracting interest from FAWSL1 sides.
