Bentley Colliery still managed to score nine goals in their midweek Central Midlands League North Division clash against Welbeck Welfare despite only playing for 70 minutes.
For logistical reasons, the game was contested over two 35-minute halves but Liam Taylor still had enough time to notch a hat trick.
Chris Freeman bagged a brace with Josh Copeland, Kyle Downing, Alastair Stewart and Kevin Lynch also getting in on the act. Ash Farquharson was Welbeck’s lone scorer.
Harworth Colliery had to settle for a consolation goal by Ryan Nicholson, which made it 2-1, when going down 4-1 at home to Newark Town.
Thorne Colliery dished out a 3-0 beating to newcomers Dinnington Town.
Jonny Lugton, Ross Ebbage and Shane Carver shared the Thorne goals.
