Although a draw saw Brian Johnston’s side slip one place to 18th following neighbours Parkgate’s 2-1 victory against Garforth Town, it edged them two points clear of the Premier Division relegation zone as the four teams below them Brigg Town, Pontefract, Liversdge and Nostell MW all lost.

Albion edged in front through Lewis Morgan on 12 minutes with a low shot from just inside the box.

James Walker restored parity nine minutes later with a fine left foot shot from outside the area.

Six minutes before the interval Dave Buck headed the hosts in front from a corner.

But Albion hit back to equalise midway through the second half when Asif Hussain drilled in a low free-kick from the edge of the box.

Armthorpe face a tough trip to second-placed Handsworth Parramore on Saturday before going to fifth-placed Worksop Town next Wednesday.
