IT was another heartbreaking moment at the New Den but we had gone 180 minutes without conceding a goal, which is a tremendous improvement.

The introduction of Keegan has tightened up the midfield and means the more forward minded players can express themselves without worrying about their defensive responsibilities.

The partnership between O’Connor and Hird has caught my eye and, although forced together because of injury, they do seem to complement each other very well.

My general feeling is that Rovers will not need to reach the magic 50 points figure as the bottom three teams are in free fall.

If we can secure four points out of our next two home games I can see this going a long way to preserving our Championship status.

Rovers 3 Portsmouth 1

Rovers 1 Ipswich 1
