A SECOND half hat trick from Thomas Beech helped Adwick All Stars recover from going 3-1 down to see off a game Conyers outfit 8-4.
A pulsating first half ended with Adwick 4-3 up after goals from David Leszczynski, Ashley Tasker and Coby Skelson plus an own goal.
But Beech’s treble plus an Alex Steel effort helped the All Stars to a relatively comfortable triumph.
Conyers had the opportunity to take the lead inside the first minute when Curtis Allen was hacked down in the box.
Sean Atkinson sent the spot kick towards the bottom corner but Bradley Watson produced a fine save to keep him out.
The Conisbrough side would not be denied for long as Josh Whittaker latched onto an Allen through ball and fired home.
Adwick hit back with Leszczynski turning home a corner.
But Conyers remained on top and re-established the lead almost straight away with Allen again providing for Whittaker who finished well.
Atkinson would get on the scoresheet on 20 minutes with a superb long range effort that saw Watston lobbed.
That would be as good as it got for Conyers as Adwick roared back.
A fine effort from Tasker from the edge of the area reduced the deficit before Brad Turner put an attempted clearance into his own net to level matters.
The All Stars would go into the break level thanks to a breakaway goal from Skelson but Conyers keeper Blake Dobing ensured the margin would be just one thanks to a fine save.
Adwick started the second half superbly and began to move out of sight.
Beech scored twice early in the half to put his side clear.
But Conyers showed they still had a part to play when Allen fired home a corner.
With ten minutes left Adwick effectively put the game to bed with Beech completing his hat trick in a goalmouth scramble.
And they put the icing on the cake with a strike from Alex Steel.
