Hat-trick star Ben leads the way for Bawtry

BEN Gillatt notched a hat-trick as Bawtry Town romped to a 6-1 Doncaster Senior Football League Premier Division One win at South Kirkby Colliery.

James Anderson, Sam Weston and Simon Minshall also weighed in with goals with Dylan Moran claiming the Colliery consolation. Shafton Villa handed Bramley Sunnyside their first defeat (3-1) to take over top spot.

Bayden Lockwood got a brace for Villa with Greg, who climbed into third spot, a 2-0 victory at bottom club Carcroft Village. Denaby United found their shooting boots in a 6-2 success at Kinsley Boys. Ashley Cantrill, Paul Mills, Steven Critchley, James Lundy, Steven Ellor and Jack Hakin shared out the goals with Sean Hammonds and Jack Howey reducing the arrears. A James Batchelor brace helped Rossington Main beat Scawthorpe and Bentley Rhinos 4-2. Josh Bathgate and Neal Fraser also chipped in with goals.

Daniel Porteous and Dean Daffin were the Rhinoes marksmen. Hemsworth MW took over top spot in League One from Denaby Main on goal difference following their 2-0 win at Harworth Colliery. Lee Mulroe and Lee Carrington both netted for the visitors.

Michael Howell scored twice for Ackworth United in their 4-1 conquest of Scawthorpe Scorpions. Steve Winder and Pablo Garcia were their other scorers. Cameron Jones claimed the Scawthorpe consolation. Newton Arms won 4-0 at ISG Doncaster courtesy of goals by Brad Atherton, Ben Tomlinson, Tom Cherry and Lee Heskith.
