Westwoodside Rangers could be in danger of folding, we can exclusively reveal.

The club is currently struggling for funds having just formed in 2012 and is appealing for help.

However, in the meantime, Rangers still had to complete their Doncaster Senior League campaign at the weekend - a game which saw them take on long-established Ackworth United.

With a depleted side because of injuries, Westwoodside battled on through the setbacks but found themselves 5-0 down at the interval.

Not to be deterred, the young side rallied after the break and got a goal back when Own McCaughey was brought down for a penalty.

The midfielder saw his kick saved but he was in the right spot to hammer home the rebound.

Despite the confidence-boosting goal, Ackworth smashed in three more for a final score of 8-1.
