Extra-time win for Adwick men

ADWICK Park Rangers got the better of Bawtry Town A in the first round of the Challenge Cup - but only after extra-time.

After ninety minutes the teams were locked at 3-3 but Adwick eventually ran out 5-3 winners thanks to goals from Liam Coleman (2), Mark Housley, Scott Maillie and Gareth Phillipson.

Bawtry’s Justin Greenwood (2) and Roger Bows were on target but their efforts proved to be in vain.

In the only match in the Premier Division Retford Town and South Elmsall United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Ryan Hardy found the net for United.

Two goals each for Sabastian Onacik and Grzegorz Szczerbra, and another for Krzysztof Lendzioszek, were not enough for ISG Doncaster to secure the points in a 12-goal thriller in Division One as Upton Brookside ran out 7-5 winners.

A Joel Smith brace and a Brenden Thompson strike were enough for Woodlands Rhinos to overcome FC Tavern 3-2.

Gavin Beardshall found the net for Edlington Rangers but visitors Hemsworth MW replied six times to secure the win.

Bramley Sunnyside returned from Hatfield Main with all three points, winning 2-1.

In the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Challenge Cup Edlington Town went down 3-0 away at Shepley FC.

Carcroft Village progressed to the next round of the Junior Cup with a comfortable 6-0 win over Byron House,

Shaun Mundy found the net twice with Ant Corner, Allen Fawley, Darren Fiedor and Sam Corner completing the tally.
