ROVERS have had a bid to extend Jon Parkin’s loan stay rejected by Cardiff City.

Parkin returned to training with the Bluebirds on Monday and any possible deal now appears to be dead in the water.

Dean Saunders told the Free Press: “We made an offer to Cardiff which we thought was reasonable but they’ve not accepted it.

“Obviously Jon came to the club when Billy Sharp was injured but he’s fit now.

“Chris Brown should also be fit in a week or so.”
