THIS time next week we could all be breathing a lot easier - but only if Rovers can rediscover their scoring touch for the most important double-header of the season.
The goals have dried up at just the wrong time for Doncaster.
And if the forwards’ famine continues there’s still a danger Rovers could be dragged into a relegation dogfight.
But if they can shoot down Cardiff and Preston at the Keepmoat Stadium they can all but extinguish any lingering fears about the dreaded drop.
These last few days have been fairly forgettable for Rovers.
They might not have played badly at Bristol City but the absence of Billy Sharp - a natural finisher - again proved decisive as they came away pointless from Ashton Gate.
