Paul Dickov has vowed not to walk away from Doncaster Rovers.
For a second successive summer, the Scot is picking up the pieces following a collapsed takeover attempt.
Rovers have just 11 professionals on their books with little over a fortnight to their League One opener at Yeovil.
But Dickov - who Richie Wellens yesterday said was “working with his hands tied” - has vowed not to quit.
“I’m a lot tougher than a lot of people think,” he said.
“It’s going to be a challenge, and it’s a challenge than I’m up for.
“I love being here and I love working with everyone involved with the club, the players especially.
“It’s never once crossed my mind [to walk away].”
