STEVE Brooker may still have a future at Doncaster Rovers, the Free Press can reveal.
Sean O’Driscoll is prepared to offer the 29-year-old a ‘pay-as-you-play’ deal if the injury-plagued striker can prove his fitness over the summer.
O’Driscoll said: “Steve’s still going to be around the club - he’s just had an ankle operation and he’ll do all his rehabilitation with us.
“He’ll be out for the next three months but if he can prove his fitness beyond that then he could still have a role to play here.
“We’ll see how he does.
“He’s proven he can be an asset for us if he stays fit.”
