Ten games into the league campaign and I think everyone will agree it’s been a mixed season so far.

We’ve had some impressive performances in the cup but have lacked consistency in the league.

Whilst our league position isn’t where we want to be at the end of the season, the games in hand we have on those teams above us could elevate us to a top ten position and well placed for a push on the play-off places.

Following back-to-back away victories prior to the international break, we’re all hopeful that we can put a consistent run of both performances and results together as we see October out.

With an away game at Fleetwood Town this weekend, it’s frustrating that it will be almost a month since our impressive home win against Chesterfield when we finally return to play at Keepmoat on Tuesday night. The long gap between home games can affect momentum and it’s no secret we have struggled for form at Keepmoat for a number of years now.

On Tuesday we are back at home though as we host Leyton Orient. This is an unused ticket night for our season ticket holders, so a great opportunity to bring a friend to the game for free.

Meanwhile, the following Saturday (25th) we’re back at home against MK Dons, and as the game falls in half term the fixture has the been made quid-a-kid, with children in the home end being able to purchase a ticket for £1 for the game. For further details on either game contact our ticket office on 01302 762576.

Away from Rovers and on November 5 the club will once again be hosting our annual fireworks display, the Big Bang.

In addition to a Fun Fair, we have two fireworks displays with a child’s display at 6.25pm and the main display at 8.45pm.

This is a great event and the proceeds raised are invested directly back into the first team, so if you are a Doncaster Rovers supporter, this is a great way to support the club this fireworks night. Thanks to our partners for the event, Stoneacre Motor Group, Trax FM and First Group.

In other parts of Club Doncaster, the Dons are already looking towards 2015. Carl Hall and Paul Cooke have already made a great start in assembling the squad for next season and will soon be announcing their pre-season friendlies. We believe we’ve got some exciting pre-season friendlies lined up for Dons fans.
