John Ryan he cannot be talked into a return to the Rovers board by his fellow major shareholders.
Ryan sensationally brought to an end his 15 year stint as Rovers chairman on Saturday, mere minutes before the clash with Barnsley.
When asked whether Dick Watson or Terry Bramall could persuade him to come back, Ryan said: “No, it’s finished.
“I’m quite happy to come along as a fan but it’s the end of the road for me.
“Let’s hope someone else can take up the cudgels.
“I think I’ve done rather well in the last 15 years.
“If they do as good a job, I’d be delighted.”
Disagreement between Ryan, Bramall and Watson over the club’s future direction – the proposed takeover in particular – led to Ryan’s resignation.
