Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the signing of Bury winger Kyle Bennett, as exclusively revealed in the Free Press this week.
The 20-year-old has signed a two year deal at the Keepmoat and joins left back Tommy Spurr in the new arrivals lounge.
Bennett said: “The move was an easy decision for me, simply because of the way the team play football and of how good a manager Sean O’Driscoll is.
“I like to think that I have proved myself in League Two and I’m looking forward to playing in the Championship.”
Though Bennett was out of contract, as he is under 24 Rovers agreed an undisclosed compensation figure with the Shakers.
Bennett made 32 appearances for Bury last season as they won promotion to League One.
He is described as having ‘blistering pace’ and was in the past rated as a brighter prospect than older brother Elliott who recently joined Premier League newcomers Norwich City.
Bennett will wear the number 23 shirt for the coming season.
