Federico Macheda believes the secret to success is team unity and that his current club has that in abdundance.
Doncaster travel to the iPro Stadium today to face a Derby County side in incredible form, having won their last six league games.
However, the Manchester United striker insists that if Rovers keep their togetherness, they can take another scalp similar to Championship promotion- chasers Leicester and QPR.
“We are facing a big team, they are on top form right now and I think it will be a difficult game for us. But if we stay together as a group I think we can do well,” said the Italian.
“That is the most important thing for a team [the unity], for people to think about the team first. That’s what makes a team special.
“So, I think if we can [continue to] work that way, we can do big things.”
Macheda’s loan spell with Doncaster finishes at the end of the month and the forward insisting he is still not sure what his future holds.
“I’m on my final year of my contract at United so I’ll see what happens in January,” he said.
“I have to go back at the end of December but we’ll see what I am going to do after. I have not spoken to anyone.”
He went on: “It is important to finish the loan spell with a few good games, a few good results especially if we win - that is the most important thing.”
