Rovers should be boosted by the return of half a dozen injured players by the end of the month according to Paul Dickov.
A total of nine players were ruled out through injury during the busy festive period leaving Dickov to call upon youngsters to cover.
But Dickov’s headache should be eased considerably during January.
“Definitely in the next four weeks we would hope to have five or six of them back,” Dickov said. “James Husband should be mid-January, maybe sooner. Paul Keegan will be the middle to the end of January.
“Chris Brown might be a bit sooner but we’ve got to be careful with it being back and hamstring related.
“Reece Wabara is back running, as is Jamie McCombe who will hopefully be back training soon.
“Billy Paynter and James Coppinger are still a bit sore but they’re not far away.”
