Our sports writers have made a few predictions ahead of the new season...

Where will Doncaster Rovers finish in League Two?

Paul Goodwin: 5th

Rovers have got an awful lot to prove after last season’s debacle and a top three finish might just prove to be slightly beyond them.

However, if they can address their failings - and have a bit more luck with injuries than they have had in pre-season - they should secure at least a play-off place.

Liam Hoden: 3rd

Business this summer has been excellent and Rovers head into League Two arguably stronger than they were in League One.

It will be tough and the current injury situation will only make it more difficult to start well.

But if they hit their stride, Rovers should have enough to challenge for automatic promotion.
