Darren Ferguson has made his second Goodison Park swoop in a week by signing right back Felipe Mattioni.
The Brazilian has followed Conor Grant to the Keepmoat Stadium from Everton, with the Toffees looking for the 27 year old to prove his fitness having offered him a contract until the end of the season.
Mattioni, once of AC Milan, was released by Espanyol in the summer and has suffered serious injuries over the past few years. Since 2010 has made just 22 appearances.
Rovers have few options at right back, with Mitchell Lund the only recognised player for that position and while Luke McCullough has stepped in on occasion, Darren Ferguson doesn't believe it suits the Northern Ireland international.
Ferguson's side take on Colchester at the Keepmoat on Saturday.
